The City Council will hold a work session on Tuesday, September 29 at 3:00 PM for the regular City Council Agenda meeting on Oct 1. We held an agenda meeting this morning and it appears the City Council will receive and file correspondence from Snooks attorney. Outside of that item there is nothing on the agenda regarding the corridor plan. As with all Council work sessions, the meeting is open, but public comments are at the discretion of the Mayor. At the City Council meeting on Oct 1 there is time for public comment at the beginning of the meeting. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM. The City Planning and Zoning Commission meets on Tuesday, Oct 6 at 6:00 PM at Cityhall to take public feedback on the Corridor Plan (thought you should know Snooks article in the paper was incorrect – as it read wed, October 6). Upon conclusion of the public hearing the Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the City Council. If a recommendation comes out of the planning commission on the 6th a public hearing will be schedule for the November, 5. (city council will actually take action to set the date of the public hearing at the Oct 15 City Council Meeting – set dates are generally a consent calendar item – with limited discussion). For reference the City Council Meets on the first and third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM, the worksession is the Tuesday before the meeting – the time on these vary but generally they are at 4:00 – sometimes they start at 3:00 contact me or sue in the City Manager office to verify the start time. Standard rules stated in the first paragraph exist for all meetings. Planning Commission meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 PM – the Oct meeting is a special meeting to accommodate the anticipated larger crowd.
